Project Summary
The VETech Transform project seeks to strengthen the connection between vocational education and the rapidly evolving digital economy. It focuses on addressing the digital skills gap that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face by equipping VET students, trainers, and SME professionals with the competencies needed to navigate and implement technological innovation.
Through the development of a simulation-based curriculum, VETech introduces an interactive approach that bridges the gap between theory and practice, allowing learners to explore emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, and blockchain in a safe and experimental environment. The project’s outputs will help both VET institutions and SMEs adapt to automation and digital transformation challenges while fostering innovation and resilience across the vocational training ecosystem.
VETech’s key activities include the creation of a digital database of best practices and transformation strategies for SMEs, the development of the VETech Toolkit—a comprehensive set of resources supporting digital transformation—and the launch of an inclusive digital platform serving as a repository of learning materials, case studies, and interactive tools. The project also integrates simulation training sessions to translate knowledge into practice and two transnational meetings (in Hungary and Greece) to ensure effective collaboration and evaluation.
The partnership between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Veszprém (Hungary), EQUALINE (Greece), and Personal Training EOOD (Bulgaria) combines economic insight, inclusive educational approaches, and long-standing VET expertise. Together, they aim to create a transnational framework that enhances employability, stimulates entrepreneurial thinking, and provides SMEs with tangible pathways to digital maturity.
By the end of the project, VETech will contribute to modernizing vocational education and training systems, promote the use of simulation-based learning, and offer innovative, accessible resources to both educators and enterprises. Its long-term impact is expected to empower SMEs to adopt sustainable digital strategies and to prepare the future workforce to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven labor market.
