Project Summary

EduTourism4Africa aims to be developed a sustainable tourism strategy using the guidance tools in order to enhance broad stakeholder engagement in planning, development and management of sustainable tourism, by building a set of capacities of VET providers in tourism sector, to strengthen cooperation between private and public stakeholders in the field of vocational education and training for demand-oriented and opportunity-driven VET interventions, in 3 phases: EduTourism4Africa – Empowering Rural.

Communities with Sustainable Tourism Education and Vocational Training EduTourism4Africa’s concept focuses on:

1. to enhance the capacity of VET providers and tourism stakeholders, by sustainable tourism practices, including environmental conservation & social inclusion by developing a best practices learning portal and an action plan for transforming the current capacities to the green economy in sub Sahara;

2. to foster collaborations among stakeholders in tourism industry, including public & private actors, local communities &NGOs, to promote sustainable tourism practices foster exchange transnational good practice among organisations and target group representatives from Sub-Saharan Africa – Europe, by developing a virtual learning environment as an educational and networking space for strategic sustainable tourism promotion in Sub- Sahara and

3.to promote sustainable resource management practices, by developing a capacity building programme divided in 4 thematic pylons and dissemination the European Year of Skills 2023.
