Project Summary
Through program stakeholders’ empowerment to support and facilitate youth involvement activities in line with the European Youth Goals, the project seeks to increase youth participation in decision-making processes at both national and European levels. One of the goals is to support youth involvement programs that help achieve these goals by involving young people in decision-making regarding program implementation and strategies. Several Youth Participation Events, each concentrating on a distinct facet of youth involvement and empowerment, are among the project’s activities. These conferences aim to increase awareness of youth participation in politics and decisionmaking processes.
Other topics covered include the establishment of European Youth Councils Dialogue, the start of Internet Governance initiatives, the introduction of Podcasts as a tool for debate, and the organization of conferences.
The project also includes a Youth Participation Mobility event that trains young people to become change ambassadors by bringing them into European policy discussions. The project’s anticipated impact is to make it easier for stakeholders and decision-makers in the youth sector to quickly access youth. Through youth participation in decision-making, the project seeks to make youth-focused policies and programs more pertinent, efficient, and suited to their needs. Additionally, it aims to promote greater interaction and communication between young people and local actors as well as enhance young people’s opinions of local government.
The project’s ultimate goal is to encourage young people to engage in more structured discourse and to actively participate in influencing local and regional government operations.
