Proposal title: MIND Twinning: Cross-Cultural Mental Health Exchange
Project Number: 101215669
Participating Countries: Greece, Serbia, Italy, Bulgaria, and Romania
Dates: 1/07/2025 – 30/06/2026
Project Summary
The MIND project addresses European mental health awareness by promoting cross-cultural understanding, community resilience, and social inclusion to dismantle stigma. Aligned with the EU’s Town Twinning initiative, the Gender Equality Strategy, and the EU Action Plan on Mental Health, this 12-month initiative empowers vulnerable groups through gender-sensitive and non-discriminatory frameworks.
The core of the project is a transnational event in Naousa, Greece, uniting partners from Greece, Serbia, Italy, Bulgaria, and Romania. Activities are built around three flagship pillars: the “Bridging Cultures, Bridging Minds” Conference on culturally sensitive health systems, the “Global Minds Debate” Workshop on cultural psychological practices, and the “Unity in Diversity” Cultural Festival & Mental Health Exhibition showcasing artistic expressions of well-being. Through digital dissemination and networking, MIND builds a long-term cross-border network to foster deeper European solidarity, mutual trust, and inclusive mental health frameworks.
